Staten Island Lacrosse will be offering several indoor lacrosse programs this Fall and Winter season. These programs are for the beginner and the advanced, from a instructional clinic to a indoor league for our youth level and our high school level athletes.
SPRING INDOOR INSTRUCTIONAL CAMP/CLINIC AND WORKOUTS ( TIMES AND DATES VARY )
This year again due to the loss of lacrosse on Staten Island and the need for athletes to get back some normalcy, Staten Island Lacrosse has added a 5 week, 1 day per week Spring Indoor session. The programs (2) are designed for young athletes, new to the game athletes, and athletes looking to tryout for their High School teams. For athletes who made their High School team and missed the season due to the cancelling of High School sports, we have a program designed to get you back on the field. These programs will not offer game play, they are designed to teach all aspects of lacrosse the proper way. Athletes will be broken up into groups of equal skill level and as they progress they will “move up”. Our Staff will determine the placement of all athletes.
This program is closed until spring of 2022
WINTER INDOOR INSTRUCTIONAL CAMP/CLINIC – 2 SESSIONS – BEGINNER – 9:00 am. – 10:00 am. & INTERMEDIATE 10:00 am. – 11:00 am.
Our camp is broken into groups where athletes will train, practice and play with athletes of equal skill level. For the beginner, the program is a introduction to lacrosse. They learn all the basic skills: shooting, passing, catching, defense. All players learn to play both offense and defense. The goal here is to learn while still having fun. For our advanced players, the program is a High School/College level workout. It focuses on specific position skills and drills. Attack/midfield players will work on shooting, dodging, stick work, face offs. Defense positions/goalies will work on positioning, checks, foot work, outlets, wing play. The program consist of 10 sessions, 1 per week, 1 hour each on Sundays beginning Dec.5th. and running through Feb.6th. Our Staff will determine the placement of all athletes. Space is very limited in order to give athletes the attention they deserve. Program cost $300. Registration is now open.
